An Empirical Examination of the Impact of Banks on Economic Growth in Sierra Leone (2001-2017)

Banking sector development is considered as an essential driver of economic growth. Thus, this study examines the impact banking on growth Sierra Leone using indicators like bank liquidity reserve to asset ratio, domestic credit private sectors, interest rate spread, gross savings and deposit rate, product yearly data from period 2001 2017. An empirical model was carried out ordinary least square regression. From outcomes regression, analysis, results, GDP strongly influenced by some especially sector. It seen that has a positive significant GDP, while but insignificant GDP. The other such reserve, neither have nor Domestic tends impact.
